Overview
The skirt band’s presentations are unique, relying on circular movements and stemming from a woolly Islamic sense that has a philosophical and semantic basis in essence due to the conception that movement in the universe starts at its point and ends at the same point and that movement is therefore circular. When the dancer spins the skirt It’s like the sun is wrapped around it by the dancers. As if they were planets, the accompanying vocals were prayers to God, praises to the Prophet Muhammad, and good parents, and some songs and commands about popular themes about friendship, peace, generosity, love, and wisdom among people.
The band performs in conjunction with popular musical instruments (rubbish, salam, oboe, bracelets, and drums). It also sings along with a folk minstrel based on spontaneity and religious appetite. The band’s dancing elements depend on the Lviv dancer and the Hannati dancers who dance with the rhythm machine.
